if your gonna go with a winch take a look at Iceland Offroad. I looked for a few weeks for a company that made a winch plate for my ZJ and it works great.

hey hey hey now!

iceland makes great products. the fiberglass they use is great stuff. sure its not going to be as good as steel but its super strong as easily 1/4 the weight. My bumper is made out of 1/8" and by no means is it light. between front/rear bumpers and sliders i bolted on atleast 6-700 pounds.

i plan on getting the iceland flairs for my jeep when the time comes.

It's only money!

motivational pikchar!

my friend has them on his 9'er. I got to help with the install and i have to admit. its a bit more "involved" then we all though. the rear has to be totally cut open and rewelded. the front can be done with ur cutting weapon of choice.

over all the front was simple. the rear sucked hairy man ball's. but they made a HUGE diffrence. now he can clear 35x15.5x15's.

Notice i said "WINCH PLATE", not fiberglass bumper. This winch plate is the perfect starting point for someone to either build there own custom bumper, or keep the weight down but just cutting the plastic bumper which i opted to do since i didnt have the money at the time to build my own. Sometimes its not about personal custom parts, but sharing what you have found with other people so they can get an idea of what is possible or not.
