Looks very nice, Im sure she will be thrilled.

My dream is to some day put together a 2wd cj-5 with a small fuel injected v8 and an automatic.

Enjoy your build!

I may know of the very CJ5 you need .

Not sure, but a guy I know started one and has most likely given up due to $.
He already had the postal jeep front axle and a SBC.
Want me to do some digging?

Default unhappy 4.0

325k on the clock and still ticking, rattleing, clanking and hauling 35s around.

#1 110psi
#2 108psi
#3 113psi
#4 69psi
#5 110psi
#6 97psi

The last time I had the oil pan off the con rod bearings had a good wiggle in them, It sounds like a deisel, oil pressure holds steady one click over 0 on the gauge when at about 1krpm and near red-line might get half way across the gauge. Oil pressure sputters around zero at idle and after 1k miles the oil is about 50:1 mix and black. I drain a quart of oil/3k miles. 8mpg, slight miss at idle and I swear I can hear the timing chain screaming. It backfires after I hammer on it and wants to die off easily when under load at low rpm.

She has had a good run, to be replaced by a 4.0 from a 96 Cherokee with 170k, I would love to see it to the end but its time for an update and something thats not going to leave 6qts of 10w30 at a stoplight tomorrow

SO!

What is going to be the pain my ass this weekend when I install this 96 grand 4.0 (auto) in a 91 yj w/ ax15?

What isn't the same?
