Default Cummings 6.7L ?

I'm looking at a 2009 dodge 3500 with a 6.7 l and a manual trans. I was wondering if the 6.7L was worth buying,or should I stay away from it.

Had to retype Cummins and axles twice... The autocorrect on my phone works great... You should try it. Lol

I have one...

Make sure it has the EGR, DPF Delete.

Then hack the exhaust off and put a turbo back on.

Then Put a real intake on it.

And a chip.

You'll love it.

Mine is stock and I've been thinking of lighting it on fire after dealing with the fucking EGR / DPF issues.

Oh I hate mine right now... It's running like shit, stumbling a lot it's going to the dealership again next week. But everything I've read and people I've talked to with them agree once you get rid of the emissions shit say they are great trucks.

From what I've read this is true. Also been told the 6.7 gets descent mileage when it's all deleted

at what point do you say enough is enough and just do it....to hell with the warrenty?

For me it would have been the first time it caused problems. Its a gamble to do that.....but it is one I would take.

lots of guys just pull the electrical connector or the egr to make it inoperable while the truck is under warranty. supposed to help with mpg and soot build up. just plug it back in and cycle the key a few times to get rid of the check engine light before it goes to the dealer for any service work.

For what the warranty covers I'll wait.

I'm collecting the parts to do the deletes so when I get 100,000 miles I'll be ready haha

Is there anyway to tell if the egr has been deleted. I'm wondering if it's been done already with that kind of miles. Thanks for the info.

I have a 2008 6.7
EGR+Cooler Delete (don't just buy the stupid block off plates.. Get the entire setup)
AFE stage 2 intake
Mini Maxx tuner
Turbo back exhaust

I bought this kit from my brothers buddies company. Wickedrigs.com
http://wickedrigs.com/dpfdeco6cu.html

As for running, it runs great.. City driving I am hand calculating around 18-20 mpg's depending on speed and how I drive.. Highway I have been getting 22-25 mpg's around 65-70 mph (on the truck read out, so most likely off a little)
