Default Fusion Trans Problem

I have an '07 5 speed fusion and the trans won't shift. With the clutch engaged, engine running, I can move it into the first or second gear position, but the car will not move when the clutch pedal is released. With the shifter in the neutral position, the trans is in 5th gear. I was able to limp home in 5th, but I couldn't release the clutch all the way or it would start to stall. I am thinking my clutch is bad, but I am not familiar with manual transmissions. The car has 87k on the original clutch. If it is the clutch, anyone know a reputable shop in or near Kalamazoo that could replace it for me?

sounds more like the cables are mis-adjusted or one cable is broke. I bet the clutch is fine (unless you keep slipping it around town in 5th gear)

The clutch hasn't slipped at all since I've had it. It has done this once before and I just kept moving the shifter around and then it popped into gear and was fine.

If I put it into a gear position and let the clutch out, it will stall out and not move at all, similar to trying to take off with the parking brake fully engaged.
