Default Install different t-case help

my NP243 C is broken inside. My truck is stuck in 4x4 hi. I bought a new exact match case today and here is the question. The new case and encoder motor are set in 2HI. Will my tccm reset to match the case on its own or is there something else I have to do to match the two up? Battery disco maybe? Im learning to not like the push button stuff very quickly.lol

Any help here is appreciated

Bill

There is a position sensor on the t-case (On the very top I think, small hex plug with an electrical connector), so I don't think you will have to reset anything to get the TCCM to pickup the correct shift position.

Yeah, the electronic shift blows. I actually bought my first 2wd truck after owning my GM with rarely working 4x4 and finding out I didn't really need 4wd afterall.

just bolt it on and plug it in the computor will either match the encoder motor or it will shift into 4hi to match the computor either or it wont need reprogramming
