its definitely not cast burners, but to replace the 3 burners, the three flame cover thingies, and the h-pipe along the back is about $200-250 if I remember right (i priced it out a year ago and decided to just keep using it until it was completely wasted since I wasnt gonna spend the money) and then get another $300 grill and just let it waste away too

Don't buy... build. Here's my offset smoker, finished it about a month ago. Low and slow every weekend now.

the last grill I bought from lowes was $150. it has small burners on it and would not cook evenly. I just bought this for $89 http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/pr...sku=sku1937774 and it cooks a lot better than my Webber from lowes. It is nice but cant maintain the heat like my dads vermont casting or his other fancy grill. $400 is about the bottom end of the nice grills. But I think they are worth it. Look at the vermont casting.

edit: I think this is what my dad has or something close

I picked up a Char Briol commercial series and love it! It was right around $300 on sale and has a lifetime warranty on the burners, They are SS or titainim or something like that... Anyways it cooks nice and evenly and very controlable on the heat.

My dad said that when he was looking at the grill review websites a grill called Broil King (Im not sure if the name is right) was a good grill. They start at @ $250 http://www.broilkingbbq.com/

I have a Weber , LP , 3 burner , cast iron cooking grates ,

Get a grill that the burners go left to right . Not front to back .

Do get atleast a 3 burner not a 2 burner . More cooking surface .

Weber did buy out Ducane , a couple years ago . Ducane was top of the line until weber bought there competition out .

Even if you get a couple year old used weber . You will still get many years out of it .

Buy a weber
My father bought his 20 years ago, it still looks great and works great. I bought mine 7 years ago and it looks just like it did when I brought it home. Both of us leave our grills out all year long.

Weber stainless steel...I've had mine for 5 years and have been trouble free. I paid $600 for it then. It's a solid unit, most of the frame is welded and there are very few bolts holding it together

I grill year round and clean the grease tray and flare trays every few weeks. I also take my air compressor and blow out the burners and venturis on the intake. My burners are still in great shape and nothing looks like it's going to need replacing for a long time.

When I used to have cheap grills it seemed as if I was replacing burners and grids every year.

Realistically, I'm right where I would be if I still had a cheapie grill, but this one still looks new and cooks great even in the winter.

i have been using a hand me down no name with rusted out burners for two years now. I think this spring i am going to go buy the nicest stainless steel grill i can find locally and be done with it. i got to thinking I spend stupid amounts of money on things i use way less than the grill(dozer, tractor, dirtbike stuff) so i am going to be a baller and get one with all the bells and whistles and hopefully never buy another.

something like this maybe.....

Char Griller Duo. I love mine. Its half charcoal half gas and there is an optional side smoker box. Without the side smoker box it was $310 out the door at lowes.

3rd burner allows for indirect cooking.

Check out Weber Genesis at the local hardware store.

I have that same grill and modded the smoker/charcoal side of it. I love this grill and it didn't break the bank, I have had it 4 years now.
