all depends on the type of grade of cast steel that is used. As for strength I wouldn't worry about it. depending on the grade you can be looking at 55,000-140,000 psi Tensile strength.

I just put Solid covers on Tim's old zj and for the 65 bucks you get all the hardware and rtv as well. It was just to hard to beat the price.

They are cast iron, not steel. But agree, strength isn't an issue.

left stock spring mounts as is and will be modified to bolt in soa in the yj, 5.13 gears and welded. scored some high steer arms from jhnnyquest. all new brakes, seals and new outer wheel bearings. wheel studs were upgraded to 9/16 to match the 14b rear.

both axles will get a coat of paint after were done with shock mounts and other BS.

also a BIG thank you to frdtrckmnrich for letting me use his shop to rebuild these and lend his experieence/knowlege....it was a huge help. i think i may even have learned a thing or two

he also is working on a friggin sweet tj right now, but i forgot to take a pic of it. frame has a terrible paint job, but otherwise looks like it will be a good looking and capable rig
