Default How to call the police

George Phillips of Meridian, Mississippi was going up to bed when his
wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she
could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door to go
turn off the light but saw that there were people in the shed stealing
things.

He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?" and he said
"no". Then they said that all patrols were busy, and that he should
simply lock his door and an officer would be along when available.
George said, "Okay," hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police again.

"Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people in
my shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now cause I've just
shot them all." Then he hung up.

Within five minutes three police cars, an Armed Response unit, and an
ambulance showed up at the Phillips residence. Of course, the police
caught the burglars red-handed.

One of the Policemen said to George: "I thought you said that you'd shot
them!"

George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!"

True Story (supposedly) I LOVE IT...

why do you say that? Certain things have priority over others.

I'm a scanner junkie when I'm at the station. Alot of times when deputies aren't availible when you need them they are dealing with kids who won't mind parents, wife beaters, husband beaters, wild goose chasing cell phone call complaints from people driving, and various other things.

COPS only shows the interesting stuff, not the BS they have to deal with every day.

its funny you mension being a scanner junkie, I used to have the scanner at our station set for the Ann Arbor police and one day they had a call come in for a officer down and his gun had been taken , the Rookie calling it in was now staring down the barrel of his partners gun. I started hearing sirins coming since it was dirrectly accrossed for our station, I had 23 cop cars and detetive units come by like it was turn 2 at indy, they had so much attension out of the police force the guy was apprehended in no time. I saw guys in cars that I knew personlly that hadn't been on the road in years.

If they werent availible then why did they rush over within 5 min ? and dont tell me its cause they left somehting less importance.. they're dead (according to the guy) why would they be in such a hurry to write a report on Murder ? the bodies aint goin no where..
