Default vortec head question

i am in the process of building a 350 it is boored 40 over and is a 85 block i want to put vortec heads on it but beleive the heads only allow up to a 470 lift cam and i have a 488 lift cam in it and was wondering what needs to be done to the heads

The valve seal area needs to be machined down so the spring retainer won't hit.

Have the valve guide shortened and machined to accept standard valve seals (0.520 I believe). I recommend screw in studs and pushrod guides also.

usually if you get aftermarket spring retainers they are clearanced for bigger lift cams. I am running well over .500" lift with no valve stem clearancing on the heads, i have crower spring retainers and they clear the seal no problem at full lift.
