Pm nd4spd71 on the windows he might be interested. Sorry about the luck .

Dumperdave might still have a very clean and rust free b2 body that has had a chop top done in a very clean way.

you get it all together and someone ruins is. watching your build i see a trend yet again. starts stock, mod, mod, fab, mod next thing you know its not really a driver anymore, then you smash it up on the trail and its all down hill from there fast. im not criticising you just observing. i see my zuk going the same way. i want to do more and more but more ruins more things and upgrading makes it less road friendly. ive been conceptualizing another bronco II for quite some time and im just a little stumped on where to draw the line.

Looking back, has there been a time with your build where you wished you had stopped or maybe a point at which you would stop if you were to do it again? you've taken your Bronco a lot further than i took mine in terms of capability.

I dont regret anything.I see every mod I have done to this truck as an upgrade. Up until the day it was hit I was driving it 100+ miles aday to work from Toledo to Wayne Mi. Only down side is the truck just kept getting uglier...at least thats what everybody else told me

Never did the truck leave me stranded and even got better mileage than my 94 f-150.

Im really excited about doing the body swap next and make a slick little trugy out of it.

Just read through your whole build thread....awesome work you have done. Nice to see another B2 build. Like the canvas side windows that is an idea I hadn't thought about.

Well obviously I ended up doin a halfass repair job on the truck so I could make the Snofari run and it turned out great and Im glad I did! Some new sheet metal and some fresh Krylon and it looks as good as new {as long as you dont look under the hood at the mangled sheet metal}

I beat the hell out of it all weekend, broke 2 shocks, bent the steering stablizer, punched in the door some more, broke something in the rear suspension and still drove it to work on monday and tuesday{400 miles} How can I not love this turd?

Yes the front is the factory D35 and only things I have done is the old Duff lift and dual shock crap,XJ coils,x760 spicer u-joints,open 3.73,clearanced the shafts, shock extentions,Warn lockouts and thats it. The junk just plain works. The ass beating this truck has gotten in a couple comps over the past year and numerous trips to BUndy and R&V its amazing it even still rolls down the road. Sad to think its at the end of its life right now but dam it was the best 300.00 I ever spent Still workin on a deal to pick of a 83 Ranger 2wd longbed to start building the truggy out of. In the mean time I picked up my other baby from the paint shop on Tuesday so looks like the 4wd stuff is goin on hold until I get this finished....

88 longbed,2.3turbo,t5,Ex 8.8,blah blah blah....

How did you do the mounting for the vinyl windows? I see snaps but did you have to make a frame work for inside the window opening?

The window opening is a pinch weld {2 layers of metal} and the other end of the snaps have self tapping screws I just shot into the window channel after I cleaned out all the butyl.

Just read the whole buildup, and I like this bad little bitch!

Damn good job! The whole wiring mesh would have caused me many, many hangovers the next day.

I've always wanted a B2, and finally got one on Sunday. It's a '89 2.9 5-speed.

I haven't read your intire post, but I am impressed with what you have done to your Bronco. People don't realize how capable and fun the B2s are.

I was wondering, where did you score your hood louvers? I've been thinking of using floor vents but if there is something better suited, I'd rather use that.

Thanks

Jager

Hood vents are off a 80's Sunbird turbo car. Pontiac GTP hood vents look good too.

I took it to Bundy a few weeks back a broke the rear locker but still had a great day.

Looks like Im going to fix the axle one last time and take it to Badlands on May 10-13th since Im not ready to start on my truggy yet.
