To those that attended Snofari...

Thanks to all who came out and supported SoFo.

Did you have fun?
Do you want to see more events like this?
Do you want to keep using these state trails?

Then, become a full time member of Great Lakes Four Wheel Drive Association. (GLFWDA)

Next, you all saw what a small group of 6 or so members were able to accomplish with the help of some other volunteers. If you want to see it continue, consider joining SoFo. If you're not into a club scene, consider volunteering some of your time. Organizers, trail leaders, sweeps, etc are always needed. There were 100 vehicles this year divided by 9 trail leaders. Smaller groups make for faster travel and more ground covered.

Finally, THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE SPONSORS, SOFO AND THE QUALITY INN! You guys rock.

See you next year,
Jim

I had a good time, it was a lot of fun meeting new people and drinking beers with old friends. Leah and Ryan actually let me snuggle with them after a long cold day on the trails, thanks for all the good times guys!!

I had a blast even though you got a little lost :)
I do want to see more like this and am willing to help with those too.
I am planing on using the trails, I will be a GLFWDA member very soon, I want to be a life member from the go but I think inner air locks need to come first so I can use the trails :) I wanted to make the meeting to get a better idea of how they work but mikes morning run lasted till 6pm and we missed it.

I didn't know I needed to hold peoples hands and walk them step by step to find the information. Providing them with a link should be enough.

GMKLR, Why are you going to sue the trails?

Just want to get it out there again.......

There is a lot going on, a lot to get involved with. I know I'm going to try and help with some forest clean-ups coming up this spring. Along with our own trail maint. that needs to be tended to.

Speaking of clean-ups, did anyone else notice beer cans that someone stuck on branches throughout the trails? I know I personally grabbed 5 or 6 and saw many more then that.

Or, the springs left from a mattress in the MSA scramble area. Disgusting.

Are they at the sandy hills? If so I will take care of it. I have a good idea who they are.

If I am not mistaken, Jim Mazzola ran into a group of Got MudButt? guys, and they gave him the old Bud Light salute....

Yes it is disgusting. Look at the gas connector we maintain. Or any other area. You have to remember, a lot of people up north don't find "Up North" as beautiful and relaxing as we do. They don't care. They also don't have money, which means that typically don't pay to dispose of their garbage. Next best thing? Just dump it in the woods.
