Default What has the republican party done for you?

I know, I know.
Probably nothing, but people still vote for them, and I am guilty of the same crime. Just watching all the debates, and nothing that any of them say is a positive or relevent for me.
Privitizing everything is not a good idea in my opinion. Tax cuts for the rich don't help someone making less 200k a year (and I am well below that!)
Giving a tax break or a bailout to a billionaire doesn't help the economy or help anyone who actually works for thair living.
I mean if someone gave you a million you would spend it, but what if you allready had everything you wanted and then some? Would you give it away or just invest it so you could double it?
I don't care about the border as all the mexicans are all here allready and the canadians don't want to be here.

Any jobs bill is a joke. Unless they are creating jobs that pay at least $20 an hour or more, wtf is the point? And how much tax money are they going to spend to do it.

Anyway, I am just wondering what voting for a republicn is going to do for you this fall, ar at least what do you hope to get?

I mean if you vote for the incumbent you know what you are going to get, so no suprises there!

What do you think investing is? Giving money to a genie and he gives you back double?

I can agree with that in an ideal situation, but that is not the case. I have been watching people all around me lose their jobs, and we that still have them have taken concessions, as well as an increased workload. At the same time the company has made record profits, but do you think that they are putting on more jobs or giving us a pay raise?

I mean they are paying out to the shareholders, and the ceo's are all getting their muti million dollar bonuses.

I mean if a guy did twice the work that he used to do for you for the same pay, would you expect him to go back to the way he used to work and still pay him the same?

As far as can't be any worse than what we have, I've been saying that for the last 18 years, LOL

Not attacking you or anything, I am just saying it from what I see from where I sit is all.

Not that I need the right to carry a gun or anything. I'm pretty sure that if the government tried to take our guns away, they would need to bring in the army to clear out just this state, cause I know I am not simply going to just hand them over, and I'm pretty sure not too many other people would either!

x2 and you have to remember that 200k is a married couple because our incomes get combined. It really isnt so much when you think about two working professionals. I'd like a tax reduction since I use less services than others.

200k isn't so much?
maybe not if you are a claims agent for house fires, lol

If you are bringing in 200k+ a year, you are not hurting. You just usually have bigger bills. :)
I guess that is a valid point. I suppose I would like to keep more of my money weather I was rich or poor, so if you are rich +1 for voting republican!

Voting republican would ensure me that this will not become a european country. As I see it Obama is taking us that way quickly. Big government and big unemployment=no middle class, which means all of us here. We would be rich or poor.

Perhaps, but that money would've been after tax and counted as income. Whenever I feel bad about my 401K performance, I try to remember that it also represents 12% of my income I didn't pay taxes on.

- and if you're lucky, you got a bit of matching from your employer.

I can honestly say that I know that both parties stand for fucking me over. The only question is which one is at least offering a reach around.
