Default ZJ Super Cheap

Well thought i should post my build. Super cheap ZJ. Well I bought it cheap. Bought a TJ 4 inch lift used, all 4 springs and front shocks and front sway bar links, and set of 16x8 steel wheels, set of 235/85R16 Cooper ST's, Used rear shocks that i took off a 2003 Dakota -match the rust perfect, new holes drilled for front and rear track bars-plan on beefing up the mounts but will do for now. Well rear springs from the TJ dont fit. so used the stock front springs for the rear, and the front TJ lift springs. Worked out good. got about 900 bucks into it. Total. Next is new front track bar, current one has some play and i have a DW. Was going to buy an after market one, but i could build that for cheap, so thats the next project. Here are some pics. soon as I figure out the pic thing.

Forgot to add. stock short arms. rears set close to fender but tuck up nicely. I think i will keep them. until I decide to build long arms. Thats down the road. For now need to build a front track arm. Going with fully adjustable, but undecided on what ends to use. Bushings or heims. This is my DD. What do you guys think.

YEP! and its Super Clean. Little rusty just behind the front fenders, on the rockers. but plan on putting in some 2x4 steel all the way down for sliders.

Here is a little update. Was going to build a track arm but have a bad DW and need it gone. My track arm was whipped so needed a new one fast. One of the pics is a new MOOG Track arm, another is a better pic of how I drilled another hole for front track arm to center the axle. The other ones are some posser flex pics of the rear. Was really suprised by the amount of flex. Did remove the rear sway bar. Have some DISCOs for the front, Thanks little trucker! Will see how she flexes with them disconected. With the front sway bar links connected its not that impressive. The new track bar is really pushing my budget on this thing. I have almost a grand into it now! Yes that includes buying the ZJ. Heres a break down.
ZJ $450- guy brought into shop to have tires removed. He was taking to scrap? What? So I have to ask whats wrong. Engine knocks and leaks antifreeze. OK. I look the thing over and decide that its to clean to scrap. So I give him $450.
Knock- Free- the flywheel bolts were loose, Little locktite problem solved.
Antifreeze- $35 new water pump.
Tune up_ $50 New Cap, rotor, plugs, wires.
Oil change _ $25. Added a QT of Lucas
Another Oil Change- $25
Used TJ 4" lift.- $100- no rear shocks
Rims- $150. Bought used. like new 16x8 Steel 5 spokes. 4" backspacing.
Tires- Free. some takeoffs that I groved. 235/85/16s About 31x10.
Rear shocks- Free- Take off from 2003 Dakota. Had to do some hammering on rear mounts on the axle. Travel legth was good for the lift.
Track bar- $75. Put it on this morning before work. Still have a little DW But way better. Driveable at highway speeds.
So the total so far $910? i am sure i am missing something.
i know I am under a grand. So I am liking this project!
