How do you bump your own thread and not have it show up as a post or make the thread longer?

It only works as adding another post to the thread. No other way of it not showing up.

You don't, but if you delete older bumps it will not make the thread longer. It's always a good idea to keep your thread cleaned up by getting rid of older "bump" posts, trying to keep it to as few pages as possible.

That makes sense. I was wondering how a certain post kept being bumped but did not get any looooonger. Thanks.
