Another thought for you .............

Is your furnace properly sized with the addition you out on?? Also is your duct properly sized for the amount of air flow you require?? Balancing your heat runs will help, but the first 2 things listed are just as important.

Just get in there and fix it. Doing it in the winter is much easier IMHO. Put on your snowmobile suit and you'll glide along, and very little chance of running head on to a large spider that's looking for a snack.
