Love the build. My brother and I are currently building up a 70 fj40. I love the cage you put in and the rear seat.

Have you decided what you are going to do for a fuel tank?

Matt

matt, thanks for the compliments. right now i have a tank that was built and installed under the rear of the rig. but in order to put my rear axle where i want it and get the uptravel i want im going to have to either extremely modify it. or remove it and have a new one built.

so im still deciding on that.

Here is the "kit" form. But for an american made vehicle.

And here is mine all done with mounts and notches for my body mounts.

I can do pretty much whatever size and shape you want and the cost veries greatly on if you want the tj pump recessed into it for more ground clearance, a yj style pump, or if you just need holes for a frame mounted pump ect. Also the cost will depend on the amount of welding that I need to do on it. You're on your own for mounts.

I think its about 30" wide, 12" deep (for the tj pump to fit right), and I think it's 12" front to back. But I can make it whatever size you want. You want a one gallon cell? Done. You want it 45 gallons? Done. You should figure out exactly what size you can get to fit and let me know.

removed the gas tank to get rear axle where i wanted it. will either modify it or have tab cut and bend me up a new one. so more progress backwards.

I did score these beauties for $100:smokin:

im setting it up so i can run some modified class stuff. but mostly bulding for trail riding.

spent the day in the barn today. trailrig came buy and helped out. we figured out how to make the rear 4 link and got the axle side mounts made and the uppers are fit on the frame. all thats left is the lower frame side links which i have to make a cross member for. and then squeeze some shocks in somewhere.
