Land Rover traded in for $2000 less than I paid for it 3yrs of ownership
Explorer #2 traded in for the $2000 less than I paid after 2yrs
Viper traded in made $3000 and got a Jeep
PT Cruiser traded for $2000 after 10yrs of ownership and 180,000 miles
Jeep sold in the driveway and lost $6000 after 4yrs

Seeing how you deal with douchebaggery here, I'd say save yourself a murder trial and just trade it in.

After looking at blue book prices i think he was fair with his offer. I might get 2k more from a private sale but i dont think its worth the trouble.

Can your fat ass even get into that? You should consider the fact that getting into it may give you a heart attack before you buy it.............actually you should def. buy it.

location, and type/value of vehicle, and the market you expose it to all play a HUGE role in what is selling in the private, or used car lot arena. There is plenty of action in the private-party used car market area here in SE Michigan.

To the welderman:
In all of the years of buying/selling cars I have only traded one vehicle in. a '96 Buick Century with very low Florida miles that was gifted to us in 2000 by Deb's grandfather - the dealer gave us about $2k more than they were going for locally.

Most of the time we have bought low production quantity vehicles and/or niche vehicles that have their clique/niche markets. And typically I have no problem selling those vehicles within a 3-6 week time period. During that time there's quite a few e-mails answered, and a couple of phone calls but without exception those cars have sold within 3 people actually coming to take a look/drive it. Hell, I've even sold 150k mile 10 year old RWD Convertibles in Michigan, in the winter for over book value.

There are lots of used cars for sale here in casper. There are some ford and dodge trucks for sale, but I wont drive a pos. Low mileage clean used dmaxes are at a premium right now. I was going to drive my 01 until 200k, but the truck i am looking at is almost too good to pass up.
