Default 8.8 gear help

I've got an 8.8 out of an explorer and its got 3.73s in it right now and I'm throwing 4.10 on it and an aussie locker. My question is about the l/s carrier thats in it right now. Do I need to get a normal carrier for new gears and a locker to work? Or will it work with a normal lunchbox locker

you'll need an open carrier. What happened to 4.88s?

Aussie Locker doesn't make a locker for a l/s carrier, you'll need an open carrier.

Lock Right makes a locker for a l/s carrier.

L/s carriers are weaker compared to open carriers.

Bought yukon 4.88s, should have them installed in about 2 weeks. Question, will the spider gears out of the ls carrier work for when I swap the open carrier in? Or do I need new ones. Dont have the money for an aussie yet
