This has been my daily driver for several years. It has been very reliable and has always brought me home. Iíve kept up with maintenance and repairs, but now it is time to part ways. The rocker panels have some serious rust going but the frame, and the bed are solid. If you donít care about looks or can fix the panels, itíll go through several more winters. When I bought it, it had a blown head gasket. I pulled the head and put a revalved HO 7120 head on it. I also replaced the clutch and throwout hydraulic bearing at that time. It has probably had 15k-20k miles on it since then. Runs good, but seems low on power for an HO (rings?). Drive train is good, but I stole the front drive shaft to put onto my new vehicle. Suspension had a spring over in the rear (so 4Ē ish) and custom springs (prev owner) up front. Front springs need to be replaced. I have replacement springs that come with the truck. Needs a new headlight switch or plug that goes in the switch. Just went out recently and donít have time to look into it (I wired the fog light switch to the headlights for now). The bracket for the rear bumper needs some angle iron or something. At some point it could use a new radiator. Otherwise, this has been an excellent vehicle. Itíd be perfect for plowing, hauling lumber, or just a winter driver.

I have pix. Will post soon. Till then, I posted with pix here:

No time to part anything out. As for the 'lift', stock MJ Comanches are spring under, so it simply has new perches on the top of the axle making it spring over (like an XJ) and new shock mounts. The front springs on it need to be replaced and the coils that I am including with the vehicle are stock height (which is *higher* than what the front is sitting at now in those photos). I also have 3/4" polyurethane lift spacers that could go with this for the front. Otherwise, the Front Coils for an 83-97 Thunderbird with a V6 give a nice ride and a 3-4" lift. 1970something F150/Bronco springs give the same lift but are stiffer. Or there are polyurethane 'poorman' lifts as well that are dirt cheap.
