Default school me on revolver shackles?

I saw a few builds using revolver shackles can someone explain this to me a little better? where can you get them or a write up on building your own?

revolver shackles are a decent way to get a fair amount more wheeltravel/flex..however they do have some traits that people dont like..such as springs unloading on steap uphil climbs or real swteap downhill decents......
whith that said it is something that is either hated or you can live with..

i know for jeeps quadratech and 4wd hardware sells them...
i am sure others but those come to mind

okay im going to be swaping some 63in chevy leafs into my rig and thought about going this route if i can find some more universal shackles not just for jeeps or a good write up on making your own.

they will give you mad flex. but some people are haters

i had them. they worked fine for general flex and rti ramps. but after a couple years i took them off for regular shackles. never missed them. i dont think they will gain you much. id just use nice hd normal shackles. maybe look for a better spring.

or u could do 3/4 elliptical. then make a pin system. so u can have mad flex when trail riding then pin it when doing hill climbs or driving on roads. like this

this scares me not sure why but it does. i think you would get to much side to side movement there for road driving wouldnt you?

if i do another leaf sprung rig this is what i was thinking about doing i have seen them work well and prolly better than a revolver as far as manners on the tril...
azs far s on road you cazn pin them to act like stock...real easy to set up....
