The motor is in

It took a lot more time than what it should of but its in there! I had to undo my track bar to get it to fit though, however it looks like it might still work if not I'll have to swap oil pans.

Tomorrows plan is to start on it in the morning and get as far as I can before work, then maybe just maybe finish it up tomorrow night!!

My old one has a remote mount oil filter and it is very thin along thhe front half and has a large drop in the rear. The new pan has the oil filter in the rear and is thicker throughout with a smaller drop in the rear.

The problem is in the front were the track bar runs under the pan. Its close but might work, I'll have to flex it before I know. That and the new drain plug location dumps the oil out on the front diff

You most likely have a 2wd version motor . Is it a alum pan or steel ? I would recomened swaping pan now you should be able to just un bolt filter adapter off new motor to put your oil cooler back on . I have a cooler of a zr2 on my 383

Ok I had to do that!!

But it runs! with no thanks to Freaks distributor placement

I would finish it tonight but I might need a trip to the hospital that or a beer. I leaned over the radiator to add coolant with it running, and found out that the core support with out the fenders attached can move A LOT. The fan hit the upper shroud and it blew up in my face. So now im missing a good sized chunk from my inner lip

But I'm so happy right now I really don't care, but the morning might be a different story

haha thanks

Yep the rig is running!! I drove it all around the state for Christmas this past weekend, with no major problems

There's a few things that have to be finished up still but nothing major.

1)One of the pulleys is making some noise, so ill have to swap some parts around from my old motor.

2) I have to remove the fuse box to re install my windshield washer bottle, I forgot about it until after the fuse box was in

3) Swap out computers, the auto one doesn't like it when I shift and the back glass wont open up (because I'm not in park)

4) Put my msd coil back in.

5) Clean and recharge my old KN and swap in my "swissed" air box.

6) Check for oil pan and track bar clearance.

Im making a list so I can get the old girl ready for R&V's night run

On that note I still have to...

7) Install front DS and chromos

8) "Lift" the front about an 1 1/2 to compensate for the coils settling.

9) Change out my rear Ujoint

10) Add some extra lighting

Im going to use R&V for a shakedown run before Snofari. So nothing too hard core, but some has to out wheel Kevin and his new jeep

Nope that's the weird thing. I'm going to swap out the new parts I already have one at a time and see if I can figure it out.

yupppp... after looking through the pictures, you deffinantly live in the NW apartments. im sorry man... lol.

im going to guess you live somewhere on the NW side of the rectangle? my buddy is a supervisor over there. and whenever i go visit him i drive on the east side. might explain while ive never seen your rig. my roomate said she saw someone taking the motor out of their blazer. she works at listening ear on the other side of the W side tent. sometimes i think she is a patient their... shes a fucking idiot. said the blazer someone was working on was black...

if you need a wrenching hand, hit me up.

its crap... i was there last year. save yourself some money and go somewhere else, unless rates have changed your paying more for a lesser apartment than most other places offer. even deerfield is nicer. which is saying something. if you text me or want to take it back channel, ill tell you how the campus services put my personal health and those of everyone in my building at risk...

i had tires stacked in my apartment for most of the year... then i built this during christmas break...

im in lake city, been hunting. boyne mountain for new years.
