after spending 680 bucks on pulleys and brackets, I decided not to spend the extra 80 bucks for the alternator and power steering pulley caps.

Doing some research last night, I found out that 64-75 chevy "Saginaw" pumps used an english measurement pulley that is not the same as 76-87 metric sized "saginaw" pumps.

I'm guessing it was a mis-match. I am using a 86 pump. I'm guessing the pulley was the english size and thats why the pulley went on so hard. :tonka:

That would make since... that is why I mentioned the possibilty of them haveing the wrong pulley in there for the application. Since they already had screwed up once Sux... your luck has run it's course the way it has on you in that build... I would have already cut it up. And bought a volkswagon bug.
