Did it ever start after uninstalling? Or did you mess up the space time continuum by trying to install a Ford programmer on your Dodge?

How would him installing the ford programmer on his dodge cause his fathers Ford to not start?

This was a stacker chip I assume? Did you remove the PCM to remove the chip, or could you remove the chip without removing the PCM from the footwell area? Did you disconnect the neg battery cable while you were fussin with the PCM/chip?

Based on what you wrote it appeared to me as if you thought the dodge was the truck not starting.

Edge chips would do this occasionally. Its a theft prevention deal. You have to cycle the key so many times and watch the theft light blink if you google it tons of anwsers come up

You might have wiped out the PCM, installing and uninstalling programmers is actually very risky if your an idiot. Prob just have to get the pcm reflashed if thats the issue. Either way I wouldnt be swapping chips from fords to dodges, that just sounds bad from the get go

turn your key to the on position dont crank it though your theft light should flash off and on for about 45 seconds while your ignition is in the on position. After 45 seconds the light will flash off and on every three seconds..At this time turn your ignition off for 30 seconds then start the truck.

try this first

Removing a programmer or chip from the 02 7.3L PCM which results in a crank no start generally means the PCM is crap. I worked with Ford Diesels for a long time and this is not a good sign. Tow the truck to a Ford dealer, or get a cheap code scanner, and run the system for codes... no data = new PCM.

Give this a try and worry about the rest only if this fails.

again google it and you will find it is actually common that a chip or tuner will trip the theft system. before tow bills and dealer prices. how hard is it to take 20 minutes tops and try what i posted.
