Default International scout information

My father in law has a lifted international chassis with a s10 body on it. Has 35's and a few other goodies. Has a 345 v8, auto trans and 4x4. He said I can have it because he will never have time to do anything with it. He bought it in the condition it sits and has never touched it. I would like to find out some more information on the chassis and engine. Where can I find numbers or info for what year it is and what not.

Parts wise, Scout II drivelines are pretty much all the same from start of run to end.

Yeah just like to know what I have and a year would be nice so I have something to use for my research. Don't know much about it. Looking to get some knowledge on the engine and drive terrain.

345 is an international engine, stout and heavy. It has a 727 transmission (Chrysler) Dana 20 tcase (unless it is 1980 then it is a d-300) and dana 44 rear axle. Front axle probably is a dana 44 unless it is early 1970's then it could be a dana 30.

Most likely a 72-80 Scout II chassis. The early scout 80 and 800's had a dana 27 closed knuckle front axle, and no 345. 1972 and 73 had dana 30 with drum brakes up front. 74 and on had dana 44 with discs. If the 345 has a thermoquad, it is 79-80. 1980 was the dana 300.
Like others have said though, the chassis never changed.

Sounds like a great project
