sooooo....

im planning on staying with leaf springs, here are my questions.

my understanding is that with wagoneer springs i keep the stock perches buy due to the pins i will gain 2" of stretch for the front and rear. total gain being a 4" stretch. others are trying to talk me into waggys in the front and xj's in the rear. what is the gain? havent found too much on that (i have 2 kids and a wife, ie little time to search every build thread possible)

i want to stay as low as possible, i dont care about the tub so trimming the crap out of it is no bog deal. what combination of springs should i be looking at? i would prefer to be able to find used springs if possible.

thanks for the help

What are the lengths and widths and pin locations of you stock springs? Maybe you can do something with those or we can figure out a different spring you can use.

From what I have found waggy's use yj mounts and give you 2" of stretch per end. That is the plan as of now unless people can shed light on the xj's for the rear. Also how much lift in the springs I will need

I would think stock xjs would suck being they always sag horrible and ride shitty.

Erin had them on the back of his ride up until this spring without complaints. Probably worth talking with him at least.

The XJ springs will give you 6 inch stretch. You will want to add a leaf to them so they don't sag. Mine has stock waggies up front with the XJ springs rear with an add a leaf. You have seen mine. Not as low as I would like but not too tall either.

What about keeping the stock springs, move the pirches on the frame to the desired stretch and run a soa, cheap and easy. Looks like from my searching, nothing is a direct swap, at least to have it all right.

i would stick with the stock spring also randy. they are easy to find and a little stronger then the xj springs.

make sure you build a good track bar or whatever you put back there will be twisted up like a pretzel.

stoped out to bigyj's house (thanks tom) and got a plan. i will be running stock waggy's on all 4 corners and tweaking from there. if i just cant find waggy's i might ditch the lift springs and put stock springs back on.

this is going to be a stupid simple swap. i think i was just over thinking it.
