Default *SOLD* '82 Scrambler CJ-8 rolling chassis - $250

See this thread for more information about this Scrambler. This is still a complete vehicle, and is located in Northern Michigan. I should have it down to my place (near Grand Rapids, Michigan) by mid-January.

I'm keeping some of these parts for my own Scrambler project, and I'm guessing some of the smaller items may end up on the SOA charity Scrambler. I will be parting out the rest.

Rolling chassis will include:
  • Repairable frame - This frame is crusty, but repairable IMO. If you don't weld, or don't know someone who does inexpensively, you probably do not want this frame. There are some holes on the inner frame rails by the rear main eye hangers. The 2nd crossmember in from the rear looked rough on the lower edge, as well. I assume that the body mounts will be thin (hard to tell with the body mounts still in-tact), and need some 1/8" plate welded onto the tops.
  • Wide-track axles w/3.54 open gearing - All wheels roll free, but I would assume that new brake hardware will be needed all-around.
  • "Roller" wagon wheels & tires (not the wheels in the photo...I'm keeping those).
  • OEM leaf springs/shackles
  • NO TITLE

The rear portion of the tub is already spoken for, and is not be included. This would be a good foundation for a replacement tub project.

$250 for the rolling chassis. I can store this as long as necessary for pick-up, BTW. I'm located about 15 minutes West of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Thanks,
Craig

Yes, it is old. I'm usually pretty good at thread clean-up, but I'm a slacker in this case.
