Default explorer 5.0 manual trans swap

I tried searching over and over and cant find any info on swapping a manual trans into a 5.0 explorer, seems like i remember reading about it along time ago but now cant find anything after searching the web. Im wanting to swap a pre 97 f150 trans and tcase into my 2wd for future sas project and i shop the junkyards as much as most people grocery shop so im trying to get an idea of what trans to keep an eye out for.

Any manual transmission that is bolted up to a 300-I6, 302 or 351w will work. The T18/T19 will be shorter transmissions and only 4 speeds. If you get one from 1988 to 1996 5 speed, it will be the longer Mazda M5OD-2. If you currently have a hydraulic clutch set up, go with the Mazda 5 speed. You will go from a BW1354 transfer case to the BW1356, with your choice of manual or electric and whether you need to use the case from a f150 with the slip yoke or one from a Bronco with the flange. Measure for cross member placement and drive shaft length of front and rear drive shaft.
