Default 93 YJ - 4.0, AX15 - No Rust - $6500

93 YJ - 4.0, AX15 - No Rust - $6500

I've owned this for about 4 months and haven't had a chance to put more than 1,000 miles on it.
I never took it off road or did anything fun with it

Selling b/c I'm too busy and never get a chance to drive it
Also, work situation changed and I may be moving for work :\

1993 Jeep Wrangler (YJ)
Inline 6 (4.0L), 149k miles
AX-15 (5 speed), New clutch
Power steering

Custom paint job (Not a huge fan of it)
2 tone leather seats to match the paint (Black/red)
Hard doors to match paint
Black hard top

This paragraph is from the guy I bought it from:
This car is from the west side of the country so there is no rust and has never seen salt
There are no noticeable dings on the exterior of this vehicle
The engine is mechanically sound and can be driven anywhere with confidence
This vehicle appears to have never been smoked in.
Like new interior.
The transmission shifts like it was new.
75% of the tread life remains on the tires.
New u-joint

The bad:
Need to replace rear main seal (It is a 2 piece seal so trans drop is not required)
Driver window only goes way down
Needs new muffler (Has quarter size hole)
Clutch rarely freezes, then fixes itself (Not a huge problem, master cylinder?)
Transfercase drips
Pops out of 4WD (Linkage needs adjusting)

Jeep lives in Novi

(I didn't realize this one was blurry until I saw it on a computer)

I'm not usually one to bash for sale threads, especially for a rig I have no interest in buying, but you're wasting your time on here for that price. You'll be lucky to get half that for what you describe, especially with the issues it has. Not trying to be a dick, just giving you a little dose of reality. Good luck with the sale.

I agree with bbaXJ... per KBB:
Excellent $3,463
Very Good $3,213
Good $3,113
Fair $2,563

And being the items that need to be replaced, I'd peg it between Very good and Good, even with no rust. You're looking at between $100 to a few hundred dollars worth of work best case-to-worst case to kill those leaks, slips, and muffler. Either way GLWS, just some food for thought.

I KBBed it as well:

Sport Utility 2D
6-cyl
Manual
Power Steering
Tilt Wheel
MP3 (Single Disc)
Premium Sound
Leather
Hard Top
Premium Wheels

Excellent - $4,819
Very Good - $4,569
Good - $4,469

I know my asking is still above that, but in comparison to similar car's listings I don't think this is too far off

Compared to those, I would say you're a little far off on your price. It's clean, so you can probably get $4500 out of it, but it isn't going to sell any time soon. If you want to get rid of it, sell it for $3500-4000. Just my .02

I could swear I looked at this Jeep on the Ford dealership lot in Alpena about a year ago....had stock wheels and the paint seemed somewhat fresh. Feel free to ask whatever you want for it, but I think they had it listed at $4500.

If I remember correctly, it came from Alpena (I didn't buy it from there)
If it was sold for $4500, I hope the guy I bought it from fixed a few things, then sold it to me, b/c I bought it for more than that

Perhapes some better quality and more detailed pics would help you sell your jeep, the under side, back corners, floors, etc. Prob the only way to prove the jeep came from the west side of the country is a carfax, some PO's tell a good story. I hope the PO was honest and no deceit.
There are one or two other YJ's on here priced high but with the pics they posted you can see their condition reflects their asking price.
Im not trying to bash your thread, Good luck with the sale.
