Just ordered a set of H.D. Offroad shackle relocation brackets.
http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1065577
I also have a set of teraflex 1.5" replacement shackles that I will be installing when I get my brackets.

The front is going to stay the same for now. I am trying to combat some of the leaf sag and harsh ride I have with the Rough Country spring packs. Hopefully I wont gain much lift with both these setups. maybe about 2 inchs.

Those rims look good on there. A lot better than sitting in a pile!

Thanks. Im still looking for a set of tires to put on them. I mounted 4 285/75/16 BFGs on them for now. It handles much better on the road now, and I like the way they look
I found a set of yj flairs chillin in my rafters. Did some cutting and came out with this.

Opinions?

Did you just cut the rear out? No fold? Just looks like to Sharp of an edge to be folded?

Yes the PO did the body cutting there is no fold on the rear. I was entertaining the idea of some colored rivets to hold the panels back together in the rear.

No worries the fronts are yours, I have those 2 and 4 rears, two of the rears are still uncut.

I have decided against the flares for the moment. If I recall I tried the same thing a few yrs back and didnt like it then. Thats why I happened to find these sitting in the rafters covered in dust.

I see. One of my buddies has the same issue except cut higher and the whole rear rocker was cut off instead of folded.

Do the rear quarters flop in the wind?

So I have been slowly picking away at the rear of my jeep. I started to prep the back side for the install of my new shackle relocation boxs. The bumper came off sunday afternoon, and today I tackled the Hidden Hitch. It took a bit of heat to get the nuts to come off the nut strip but every one came off. The worst part was the washers had rusted onto the studs holding it in place.
I cut a small hole in between the bumper mounts to access the welded nut that secures the upper shackle bolt. I had been spraying this nut with penetrating oil since the bumper came off. 3ft breaker bar and the bolts both broke free with ease. Now I need to find some down time and actully tear it all apart.
I found a factory gas tank skid laying in my parts pile also. Prolly gonna sandwich that thing up there too. The only thing keeping me from putting it on before is because I never wanted to pull my hitch down. So I guess now is the time to do it.

I got a coat of prime on the brackets monday. What color should I paint them? I have a good quart of Rustolem paint, color : Aluminum. But I was thinking about not using it.

I am not going to be painting the underside of this pink! I think Curbdog could you some more pink paint though. It will match his pretty pink fan.
