Default why are late model expeditions so freakin cheap now?

been looking at suvs, and 2003-2007 expeditions on craigslist are really cheap, $5500-$8500, even for Eddie Bauer models with the larger v8 and 4x4. yes, most of these have 125k to 160k miles, but a couple are under 100k. anyone know if expeditions are junk with higher mileage?

most of the truck mod motors (4.6 5.4) like to throw spark plugs over 100k but not all of them, the later ones are better I would say around th 03-04 would be the worst of them.

the plug problems are early on. it was fixed b4 02.

also price of gas is up. used full size suvs are not selling well. they get poor mpgs.

if you can afford a new big suv the price of gas is a non-issue for you.

they get terrible mileage and the newer ones are much better in pretty much every way possible.

i had a 97 and loved it. had 220thousand plus before i locked the motor up. i raised the rev limiter and tried spinning 6-6300 up a hill with 35s i believe i starved the pump not sure. its a good size hill. other than that i liked it alot. i got decent mileage from it, cold air intake, chip, headers, 3.73s from stock 3.31s, electric fan. got high teens broke 20 once or twice on the freeway

Like most said, many of the older large SUV's are going down in resale value, people just aren't looking to buy them.
