I've worked with this stuff on some high end vehicles. Its hard to work on after you put it together though but it makes one bad ass harness.

When I worked for Rousch we used this black tape to put harnesses back together. It had NO sticky adhesive on it. Just wrapped it tight and then taped the ends with regular tape and it worked great and looked great.

thats basically what I have. It's meant for underhood so no worries about heat either.
