Default 98 xj axle swap

is it possible and how much would it take to put a d44 and 8.75 out of what i assume was a 1/2 ton dodge under my 98 xj? is it worth it?

nothing is wrong with the axles or gears just want to go to a heavier duty axle and beef up the xj some if i keep it but then i guess going with a HPd44 and ford 9 in the rear would be better...
