Got the exhaust finished up today. I think I may still get some of that header wrap, and do from the muffler back. With no heat shields underneath, I'm not sure if that pipe is gonna cook the floor or not. It has about 4" between the two. Also made a sniffer tube for the O2 sensor, so hopefully it doesnt throw a code. Should be good though.

Hopefully this fawker isnt to loud.

Bung in place, with the simulator.

And finally able to button up everything underneath, and bolt up the skid plate for good.

Thanks butter. I'm not a Ford guy either. Just seems everything I end up with these days seems to be missing the bowtie

I have to be honest Creepy, I'm getting burned out on this thing. I've already moth balled it twice during its time with me. It has to get done before Christmas.....No excuses.
Shit changes in life, and it just seems like this stuff isnt that important to me anymore. Which makes it hard to spend valuable time on it. Its been more of a monkey on my back, than it has been fun. I'm real tired of spending months out in the garage, to go on one or two trips a year. Everyone I used to wheel with has just kinda flaked out, and dropped out of the picture. And I just dont have the patience to listen to everbody's bullshit anymore. This all used to be about comradery, friendship, and wrenching. Now its seems like its a big competition. Fuck it....Whatever. I am who I am, and nobody is gonna change that. Ok, I'm thru with my self pitty rant.

"So bottoms up is still the plan, whats one more day in the cage"
Cheers.....

If none of your friends wheel anymore... go out and make new ones on the trail. When I traded for SandVipr's rig I didn't know anyone. Now I feel like I'm part of a "community". If no one else will go with you guys, PM me.

Ya its not that. There are alot of people I know here on the forum that I have gone on trips with, and enjoyed it very much. Just talkin about close friends that I used to enjoy this stuff with. Dont get me wrong though, I'm not going to stop living my life, and having fun, just cause others have turned to a different page in thier lives.

Wow...Got some pretty hard core tech here. Its not much, but still has to be done. Here are a few pics of the steering wheel and center counsole.

I dont care for the look of the stock steering wheel, so I wanted to swap it out. Down fall is that you have to take the air bag clock spring out for the Grant adapter to work. The splines are the same as a CJ, so I just bought one for the early CJ, and bolted it up.

Clock spring that needs to be removed.

Grant Part number.

All mounted up.

Then I trimmed up the center console to clear the cage. I planned on using an ammo can, but wasnt crazy about the shifters being exposed. Went better than expected, and pretty happy that I'll have a spot for my beer....I mean beverage.

Picked up all the brake parts....$547 ????? Holy crap, I didnt see that coming. I sure would like to know what they coat new calipers with, cause that is the hardest shit to get off. 2 hours later, I was ready to put some paint on them.

1/4 inch spacer between the caliper and bracket to center the caliper on the rotor.

Got everything cleaned up, and taped up the rotors and calipers before paint.
