Default 87 Chevy Stepside

Picked this up a few years ago. It's an 87, rebuilt stock 350 with headers. The previous paint and body work was a mess. What little rust that was on it had bondo over it. The rear fenders were rusted under the bed rail and the flanges. The roof had an accident just before I got it.

Phase two body work. Some done by me, most done by a bodyman. Replaced one cab corner and one step.
Alot of time with a body hammer and dolly

Replaced rusted metal on both rear fenders

Bed treated where fenders attach

Completed paint. This will be a summer dd, so it wasn't meant to be perfect. I'm very happy with the results. The interior will be done this winter and a few odds and ends on the outside.

Oooooooh......looks like you're going with the '88-'91 Crew Cab/Suburban/Blazer grille and headlights.....best looking front end on a Chevy truck ever.

Nice.

Thanks. The grill is out of a 90 Blazer. I traded your Jeep old for this.

Great looking truck.

Are you going to paint the inside of the cab like the older trucks or go cloth/leather?

Besides jamming and the doors, the interior hasn't been touched yet. Because of the roof damage I am putting in a molded headliner. I'm thinking black leather buckets and orange and black leather door panels. Once I get everything together, I'll decide what's getting painted. It will be black and orange, I ordered a quart of the paint.
