ill put money on either cat or skidoo aginst that assault rode all three my picks the e tec. as far as the cat gose i agree but there fast for a min but etec back country vs assault hands down bang for buck goose to skidoo . and i can understand u not wantin a cat lol the way you go burn up motors in that jeep im sure u need a sled thats bullet proof lol J/p

yeah i have road both the xp n the new assault chassi all though the ride is beter then the old switch back iq chassie it still just feels baulky after riding the xp chassie. the new assault is good but i mean if i got the same deal on both and had to ride one for the season id ride the xp over the assault. i feel the chassies beter the motor has alot more hp n the gas milage not to mention the only using the 1/2 gallon of oil per . and there are e tecs out there with a damn load of miles on them just seems to me the best deal even if you gota kick an exta buck . Skidoo has kinda taken over .

Ski-Doo is the best bang for the buck? Do you even know what that phrase means? It doesn't mean spend $4000 more for a couple horsepower and theoretically better fuel/oil mileage. The chassis is a personal opinion and cannot be valued.

I'm not dogging the Ski-Doo, I love my E-tec Renegade X, but if I were buying a sled this year, there isn't even the slightest doubt, it would be a Switchback. Bang for the buck, the Switchback couldn't be beat if Ski-Doo threw in a set of 44" boggers and two weeks prepaid with a disease free hooker.

I have owned 7 xp chassis sleds and by far my 2011 pro rmk is my favorite sled to ride, better clutching, better off trail power, overall better sled. Very happy with mine. In the off trail scene skidoo is third place. For trail riders the xp dominates.

If the yammies were overheating you probably were on some that didn't have the right ratio of water to antifreeze. Yamaha is known for putting 95-100% coolant in their sleds. They deny this of course but it has been proven time and time again. When I got my 07' Attak if the snow was hard packed or the trails got thin the amber overheat light would come on and we would have to pull over and throw snow on the running boards. Well after researching it on various sled sites I found this info that Yamaha does indeed make it almost pure antifreeze. I checked mine and sure enough so I sucked out about a quart and mixed it with water and redline water wetter and now I can let mine run for 15 minutes on a summer day without the light coming on. It is still protected to -45*F and the light never comes on in the winter. I have since put a 151" 2.25" paddle track on it with mountain skis and this is how it should have come from the factory it hooks up like crazy . From a dead stop I can wheelie it past 100mph. It will yank the skis off the ground at will I can be cruising at 60mph and stab the throttle and the skis come up about 1 1/2-2 feet. I ride mostly off trail now boondocking so i like the light front end it helps greatly with carving turns . I'll see if I can find a pic after the stretch job and post it up.

if your paying 4000 more for the skidoo over the polaris u must have not gone to a good skidoo dealer . msrp of both sleads are within a couple hundred bucks of each other and were taking the assault vs the renagade back country . you just found a dealler that would go low on the polaris the same can be found on the skidoo you just gota look !

Extreme can kiss my ass. I've tried to deal with them several times. as stated above RETAIL on everything. I will now deal with Burt Lake. I was really happy with there parts and service dept.

Here's my ride and I love it, 2007 MXZ x package 600 sdi. I had everything I could powder coated black.
