Mud bogs are alot of fun and everyone has their variety of off-roading which is what makes this hobby so great. True, if you don't have the right equipment and HP to do the comp bogs, it definitely doesn't help your situation much, but its not something that happened overnight either. I've seen plenty of guys with bad ass trucks that couldn't drive their trucks for $hit, but they also had more money than they did brains. They might be "skilled" at buying sweet parts, but couldnt fix them if their life depended on it lol

So what "skills" are required?
BTW I like mud bogs, and have had my jeep at a few of them. I have had to winch out the hillbillys who cant make it through.

Don't worry anyone that has a lot of horsepower in a mud rig knows they are a handful. They just think there opinion is the only right one and everybody should build a rig their way.

whatever...BDMT's are just BDMT's...I don't really care what you build or how you build it, it's yours and if you like that is all that matters but, face the facts, there is no skill is flooring it, and anything with alot of HP is a handful

Sounds like you know everything about driving in the mud. How many years have you been doing it? I guess it doesn't matter. Even if you did it for a while and you did not realize that there is more to driving than pointing in the right direction and flooring it, then you were not very good at it and your opinion is worthless.

You have never been somewhere where people were driving through mud and when they got stuck thought to yourself. He should of drove farther to one side or if he would have stopped digging down he could of backed out or or turned the wheel a bit and got some traction from the side of a rut. I see things all the time that other drivers could have done different to make it through or at least not get stuck.

So is mud bogging just like drag racing? just floor it. no skill?

I think much more skill is needed for rock crawling than mud bogging, but I think your very wrong in saying no skill is needed. I do admit that many mud boggers do exactly what you say, but not all of them.

PS your know it all superior attitude is one of the reasons people don't like "jeepers" and coming to this website. Your the "asshole" that make the rest of the bunch look bad. I realize your the minority and that there are a lot of good people here and within the jeeping comunity. Others don't.

Jeepers just need a good winch, willing passenger, tree with stong roots, and they can go anywhere.

I'd rather have the razor. If you play in the mud, you eventually get stuck in the mud. Its all fun till then. Last time I had to crawl in mud(mounds) I got poison ivy all over my legs.

to each their own, but watching any comp isn't fun unless you have guys that flog their shit harder than a convulsing retard. in that regard, TGW are usually a blast.
