Default wont start

i have an 87 bronco 2 sat for a few months. ran fine before. no fuel pumps running. so i hard wired both fuel pumps. no they work and i have fuel at the rail. but it still wont start. good spark. could this be a bad ecm. could the interta swicth cause the fuel injectors not to work.

thanks Ean

Settle down JR. If you put things in complete sentences it is lots easier for us to read and under stand what the fukc your saying. Do you have fuel at the rail? Good pressure? There is a switch behind the glove box that goes to shit on RBV some times.

yes i have fuel at the rail, and it has good pressure. I had to hard wire the low pressure, and high pressure pumps to get fuel. I bypassed the fuel pump switch just to be sure. Does any body know if the pcm could cause this. I have good spark. If i dump fuel in the throttle body it starts briefly. will the fuel pump shut off switch cause the injectors not to pulse. or does it just cause the pumps not to work.

Thanks everyone

have your ignition moduale tested on the distributor (remove the mod and take it to a auto store for testing) i have had problems in the past with weird starts and running issues

Can the module cause all of the problems? No fuel pumps and the injectors not pulsing?

If it starts to run when fuel is added to the throttle body, it is not your ignition. I'd look into your fuel more.

Also, the interna switch is meant to cut fuel in case of an accident.

Also check out www.therangerstation.com
more info about ford ranger than anyone person should know!!!

sounds to me like a bad ground, ignition module, or ECM
its odd you would have spark but no pulse.

Also check for ECM codes, EVEN if you don't have a check engine light

ALSO, what motor??? - NVM 87 B2 only had the 2.9L
