More than just car retarded. Seriously if you have a hole in your radiator replace it. If you put a hole in it when you were on the trail then you try eggs and pepper or any other combination of shit, but that is just to grt you home.

Just crimp off the tube section that has the hole in it, cut it and roll up each end,

But seriously depending on how much you could find a new/used one for it would probably not be worth your time/money to have the old one fixed.

What the ****. I said my thermostat failed I know what soddering is just didn't know if a radiator place could do that or not. I don't know what he means by crimping off the tube etc

I have heard of this (egg trick) but never tried it. I have used some stop leak stuff before and I dont know if it caused this, but look at the coolant passages in my head.

Its more of an old trail fix, to get off the trail. back when people did more longer trailriding+camping. Not something that you would do much with today's type of parks..
