Default Slick Six

In the parts collecting stage at the moment, but here is the rundown.

I'm working on a budget of $3000 for the entire thing. Starting with a 83 Jeep j10, 258/tf727/np208. The axles will be pulled in favor for a 60/70 combo. I'll be removing the bed and shortening the wheelbase 12", still trying to decide on what to do with the bed area. For suspension wise, I'll be using the stock leaf packs with a few leafs pulled out in order to get around 4" of total lift. As for the rest... Cut fenders, roll cage, boat sides, half doors, bumpers, winch, and maybe some 40" tires to boot.

Ideas are welcome.

How are you adding lift by taking springs out of the stock srings

40s, spring over, stock springs, and missing leafs equals a whole lot of axle wrap.

And dont lose the bed it will take away from the look of the truck IMO, just shorten it

As was said the front is spring under, so a SOA should take care of that. As for the rear I will be using a shackle flip and the stock springs.

Never had a problem with axle wrap with the last one...

And the bed is rotted beyond repair, so unless i find another one it's coming off.

I will be picking up the truck for $400
Got the axles for $700
400+700= 1100
Leaving me 1900 for tires and driveshafts to play with

I already have the winch, seats, and bumpers from the last one.
Plus building a pair of sliders isn't going to empty my pocket.

you can build a shackle style anti-wrap bar for about $40.

brand new steel fenders, found them with 15years of dust on them.

And so people will stop asking me what the hell this is.

I will be ordering some new springs very soon. Along with some new corbeau seats, BFG KM2s, and undecided wheels.
