No. Casa Del Spro is not yet ready for festivities. I don't think I would want to host such an event at my house anyway. The 23rd would be the earliest I woud have my shit together. Probably best to wait until after Xmas.

I will have to get rolling on vehicle repairs and maintenance immediately upon returning home. We are arriving early in the morning, so I will be able to get started right away. I will be driving to NJ for Xmas (probably on the 24th) and the XJ I bought only has street tires and ~may~ need some front brake work. I have some Rubi rolling stock lined up, but it won't fit with the stock suspension. I don't know if I want to risk/attempt a lift installation when I will need to drive it a long distance approx 3 days after I get back. I think the only way I could manage that would be to bring it to a shop and have them do it all. Buying small tires for the stock rims would be a waste of money.

I need more cargo space for the trip. Going to have to haul a lot of stuff back from NJ. I still have Xmas crap out there from last year that I coudn't get home due to going back to Ft. Dix straight from North Jersey. I know the XJ isn't that much bigger, but it will make a difference. I would normally take the Ram to carry or tow whatever I need to, but the calipers are frozen from sitting so long and it realy needs a lot of maintenance. The XJ requires less meddling right now. Last year I made the trip in my Mom's Suburban, but not without insisting that it wear better tires. I bought her BFG's about a month in advance and it was a good thing I did, because it got shitty on I-80 in PA. She's been telling me for years that I'll get the Suburban when the kids are older and they don't need such a big vehicle anymore, but they are dragging ass.
