Chicago Electric 90 Amp Flux Welder Review

So for anyone who wants a very cheap and very simple machine to learn how to weld with, this is it.

I bought this little welder mainly for exhaust and less than 1/4" thickness. However upon using this little machine I quickly realized that it has way more potential. The wire it comes with is absolute trash, verrry dirty, and the grounding clamp sucks real bad. But with a few simple changes it welds great.

In the next couple days ill put up pics of the welds that it lays down.

If anyone else has had experience with this welder feel free to chime in!

I agree with this. Its a pretty cheap little welder, but it does lay beads pretty good, and is pretty strong. Burns through quite a bit with ease. I did pick up a spool of Lincoln wire instead of the junk that it comes with. I have had good luck with the ground clamp though. But with a spool of good wire, it lays good beads and the welds stick good for the money.

i agree. i just picked one up last week for $120. the spool it comes with is very dirty. but from what i have heard a better wire and step up to the .035 wire, it is completely different.
