Default Brake Residual Valve question

I have a 4 wheel disc set-up on the truggy and I am wondering if I would need a set of these valves to maintain the 2 psi line pressure to the calipers. I have a 4 wheel disc hydroboost MC and an adjustable Prop valve with cheby 3/4 ton calipers at all four corners.

residual pressure valves are only used on drum brakes not needed on disc brakes unless the brake master cylinder is located below the highest point in the system.

Not always. Lot of semifloat applications use them because wobble/runout/bend in the axle flanges/rotor causes the rear pads to push out a little causing a soft pedal.

I would run it, and see. I didn't require one on my old toyota or my current Jeep.

I'm running a 2PSI one to the rear disc's on My YJ, it helped to firm up the pedal significantly.

I was figuring on just running it and seeing what happened, but considering it involves the most important system on the whole vehicle I decided it was worth asking about.

ran the 2 psi on my old setup. FF dana 60 rear with 1/2 ton chevy front calipers. It defiantly helps pedal pressure. I went from needing to double pump to perfect braking.
