Default My Kitchen Window

As I stand at my Kitchen window Looking out with the christmas carols playing. Both Daughter in laws helping as we make rock candy.

I can not help but think back as I lookout. You see Marv's parents have past severl years back. and it took him a long time to be able to take down his Family home. But as we tore it down we found up at the top where his dad had re-used some old Barn wood. Our Neighbor (AL 80 year old gent) ask what we planed on doing with the old barn wood. Knowing he likes to work with wood I told him he could have it to build bird houses etc out of. But much to my surprise I came home a month later and found this in my front yard. And the next Christmas I also found the wishing well.
I just thought this was a great Christmas Story to share with you all so when you next come to the pig gig and see these in my yard you all will know the story behind them and know a part of Marvs childhood home still is on the property.

THANKS AL!!

How much snow do you guys have there up in West Branch? Thinking about heading up there this weekend to hit the trails on the sled.

Great Stroy Miff! That was really nice of your neighbor to do something so unselfish with the wood.

Defiantely cool. I always enjoy heritage stuff.

I have a few tools that go back 4 generations. My dad has some of his great-grandfathers carpentry tools that he's building a nice display case to show them.

When we build our house next year, there will be things incorporate from other properties of ours that have significance to us.

Very cool!

Default Now I want some candy

I think that is extremely cool, I haven't had homemade rock candy since my grandmother died 15 years ago. NOW I'M CRAVING IT!!!!!

Think of the things you remember from your childhood. You just created one of those moments for your kids.
