FS: Modified 1972 Jeep Commando SOLD
Due to health reasons I am forced to sell my commando.
Price is 6500.00. Jeep is located in Berkley Michigan.
1972 Jeep commando. First year that AMC took over the body styling. Some refer to the 72-73 Jeep Commando as "bullnose's"
This has been my baby since bringing her home in sad shape 5 years ago. This Jeep came from the factory with Power steering and Power brakes. It has a Dana 44 in the rear and a D30 front axle. Both axles are loaded with 3.73 gears and Aussie lockers which where installed by GL member Killerbee.
He also installed new bearings and seals. The D20 transfer case has had a twin stick conversion installed.
The TH400 trans is stock and good working order.
Here is a list of some of what I have done to restore and beef up this unique jeep.
Painted factory avocado mist, metallic green, 7-2010
70% of the floorboards are new. Entire floor is rock solid.
Floor has been bedlined with hercuiliner.
Bestop soft top installed 2 years ago. In excellent shape, no rips or tears !
Have a spare Bikini top that goes with too.

I have a few extra parts that come with the sale of this jeep
Pair of doors in decent shape, with glass
and few other odds and ends.
Since all this work has been done in roughly the last 4 plus years I have put maybe a couple hundred miles on it. The motor runs excellent and get about 15mpg plus on the highway.
The only thing that I can say is wrong with this truck is the swapmers have some dry rot and one has a slow leak requiring it to be filled every couple of weeks.
Here are a couple of pics. Have more if you want em.
Shoot me a message if you have any questions
