Pierce Race Engines in Lansing built the motor in my Trans Am and did a fantastic job at a reasonable price and time...I highly recommend them!

There's a shop on the corner of N. Holly Rd. and Evans Rd in Holly. I've had good luck with. I'ts ran out of a few pole barns, but those guys have helped me out a bunch and do good work.

(810)241-8050

This is where it's at, I've lost their card so I don't know the actual adress.

If you hit the satellite view it's the house with all the vehicles and equipment in the driveway.

Mid 5 Auto has a pretty good machine shop in Livonia. Then there is also Chucks Engine in Plymouth, I'm sure he's still doing work. And another place in Ann Arbor I just used to bore out some Outboard Motor Cylinders.

Well looks like after a few calls, chuck's engine in plymouth is right on the money with things.. Friendly service, and a great turnaround time.. I'll post my final thoughts once the rebuild is in and running..

He's great, very knowledgeable, and reasonable. I've had all my cranks turned by him.

The Motor was dropped off and back in 10 days, painted, bagged and rdy to go... Good service at chuck's... We ended up not doing a stroker, just mild porting and a cam and using the older style piston's that dont have skirt problems...

Getting a camshaft that utilizes the stock springs was a task, we actually had to call comp cams and get a camshaft made.. There are a limited number of fuel injected camshafts that are out there, all of which require aftermarket springs for the lift numbers.. Problem is they don't make aftermarket springs anymore for the newer 4.0 heads... Unless you wanna spend some cash on some pretty intense maching of the head for a ls1 spring to fit.. So here's the specs for the biggest FI Cam you can use with NEW Stock springs..

435/448 lift
lobe seperation 113
206/212 duration at .050
