Default Bias and Radials

Is it a bad idea to mix bias and radial tires for on road use?

Whats your definition of on road use?

I used to run swamper SSR radials in the front and bias ply boggers in the rear. I didn't kill any nuns or puppies on the road.

Rode like, well, bogggers...

No, I ran radials up front and bias in the rear of my old F-150 for many years. The trick is the radial tires have to be up front on the steering axle.

It wouldn't be for my daily driver or freeway use. Just taking my CJ5 between trails and crusing in town.
