I beleive it is a waste of a vote. Not enough people are independent. Voting for Ron Paul would be giving the Democrats a vote.

if enough people quit thinking that way it wouldn't be wasting a vote, we need to do away with the two party system to get this country back on the right track in my opinion.

That belief will keep this country in the business as usual forever.

Just to clarify, he is considering running as a Republican. So lets split the question...

1) Would you vote for him in the primary?

2) Would you vote for him in the general election as a Republican?

By thinking this way will not change the way the people of this country vote.

It would be great to see another side of politics and not just the right or left that run Washington.

If he ran as a Republican I would because then the vote would count as it is now every election the independent never gets close to getting there.

I am quite vocal of our government because they waste money and time from us and usually don't listen to the people. Like I said if he had a chance to get a republican ticket I'd jump on it.

That is going to be true of any candidate, at least Mr. Paul has reasonable views backed with citations from the constitution, not that any of that would matter to the majority of the press or the people for that matter.

Trump is liberal posing as a Republican, not that there is much difference. If he runs, and I'm not sure he will, then don't count on him fixing anything except for his own bank account.

This is exactly why we are stuck in the rut we are in. Everyone thinks they are wasting a vote - we need to end this mentality. Otherwise, we will never get out of this two-party mess.
