In Crivitz you will be looking for Thunder mountain road. From 41 heading west on A you will follow it until you hit X then go right. Follow X until you hit Country Convenience (4way stop) A lot of my group starts there runs there at about 10 or 11. Unfortunately i wont be able to make it this labor day. I do warn you, its been fairly dry up there lately so mud may be at a premium. Camping can be done on the trail and the Johnny Funwreckers wont bother you too much just have a good safe fire pit. Butler Rock rd i believe is the safest one to go on, and i think its on the south side. Hopefully that will give you a great start.

Hey Can you shoot me directions I map quest it and it looks like I take 43 N out of milwaukee and it stays 43 all the way past Green Bay and then it kind of looks like a jog or Bypas that turns into 41 141 then it looks like 41 splits off to the right or if I go streight it's stay's 141 some one said take 141 to W and hang a left thats where the pipe line start's like I said if you have better directions I appriciate it I don't care about the offroading too much since ill be driveing my Rig up there Sorry if I ask too much.

My appologies, yes you are correct 141 is the way you want to head. 41 will take you to Oconto Marinette and the up on the east coast. W is a decent place to start, it has some of the easier trails. Unfortunatly the High Falls Resavoir and the Caldron Falls have no OFFICIAL entrance, they are just roads with dirt road side entrances that lead to all the fire road access trails. Terraview.com i think is a good place to see the over head shots of the terrain and see the "starting" points of all the trails. I've only been up there 5 times in the last 3 years so my knowledge of the area is super slim, its why i go with the group of people from the Bay Boggerz.www.geocities.com/bayboggerz is the website and bill would be a great guy to ask for directions and maybe he will hook you up with the group to have you play with them. Good luck on the trails. I will keep you updated to see if im going up or not.

Hey Mil...got an update. Me and the Girlfriend are thinking of riding up there for a one day trail ride. It will be on Sunday. My # is 920-246-zero five62. I am hoping everyone will want to get about a 10am(1pm is more likely) start and we go to country convenience to gas em up. CB channel is 14 i think what we run on. Just call for Dennis, Scooby, Roscoe, or Sassy and we should respond, and let us know you are the guy from Mil Town. From the reports we got its still fairly dry up there on the trails.

Make sure you have a good lunch packed and lets go play.

As a person that has been going there for 35 yrs. ( parents had place on High Falls Flowage, And inherited it after their passing away. ) I can tell you the pipeline is fun, Need a registered vehicle though. Forest rangers do check. Yes you can camp around there too. Easiest way to get there. 41 to 141 to crivitz, turn left on County X. ( Watch out for sheriffs in, and through Crivitz ) Follow signs for Twin Bridge Park. About 17 miles. Country convenience store is about a mile before The phestigo river. Stop in for Brochures, Info, Beer , and other supplies. Cheapest place around there. Best place to eat Renee's @ Popps resort. Also alot of other public campgrounds around. If you like trout fishing 3/4 of WI. trout streams are within approx. 30 miles. Also the power line trails are fun too. ( owned by public service ) Good Luck, Have fun. I've run into a lot of lost people in them woods!

I just bought my first jeep a few months back. 1993 YJ with 3 inches of lift and 33's. I am wanting to hit the trails pretty bad and its seems like Crivitz is the closest to GB WI. I wanted to make sure there are some good "beginner" trails for me to take my wife and 4 year old with and not have to worry to much about taking a bad tumble or calling a life line to get me out! Anyone else intersted in going along for a fun day with the family feel free to give me a shout. I am thinking maybe the day before easter or something. Email me vanwink620@yahoo.com
