Info Wanted on True Tracs Older Version VS Newer

What is the difference between the older True Trac (Dana 44) it has 3 bolts through the carrier and the newer style has bolts from both side I think 6. I would assume they would not change them unless the first design had problems, tell me what you know

If you talking about the Detroit truetrac, the newer ones operate much smoother than the old ones.

I have never had a "true trac" but I have had friends with them that loved them, two were older and made some noise but worked flawlessly.

Why not go for the locker vs LS, if you keep the tire pressures the same and adjust your driving slightly there not bad at all.

I have a powerloc in the front of my CJ now and its won't slip enough for driving on icy roads just want to push the front end so I am going to put the True trac in the front and the powerloc in the rear. Plus I paid $100 of the True Trac. I thought maybe to older version was week or something

Have you tried making a call to Eaton's customer care center. They probably have an engineer that could give you the low down.
