Default Chicago People. parking question

I am going to visit a friend at Depaul. Im trying to avoid paying 20 bucks a day for parking in the city and I doubt my jeep will fit in a garage so it will probably be even more. Is there any over night parking palces in the burbs that would be cheap and I could take a train in or something?

My only connection is in St. Charles and theres no close train by there to jump on.

so any ideas on cheap places to park for a couple nights with out bending over to do it

There are lots around Northwestern that don't charge for night or weekend parking. Just have to be out of them by a certain time on weekdays

Why even drive...just take the train all the way there.

I take the train from GR whenever I go now....great on the way home because it leaves Chicago at 5:30...I just bring a 6-pack and some tortilla chips on the train with me....smooth sailing all the way home.

good call. but thing of it this way. parking. worried about your shit gettin ripped off. putting up with bullshit traffic and all that other happy shit. maybe its worth spending the extra 80 and not having to deal with all the shit. but ya i know its tight being in college but who knows.

I don't know where exactly you're going, but the southshore line runs from South Bend, Indiana to Michigan Ave I believe. Costs $11 or $12 (each way), leaves about every hour. It's at the South Bend airport, and there's another stop in Michigan City.

Hilton Garden Inn at Midway Airport. Bedford Park, IL

You take 94 to 294 and then Cicero N for like 6 miles. The HGI has a free trolly to the airport and then it's just a 20 min ride on the Orange Line to the loop DownTown right at Depaul. The Orange line is one of the safer lines as well.

If it was just a couple days, you could get away with parking it at Cooterville (SW side), and walk 2 blocks to take the train in. Unfortunately, the train doesn't run on weekends or real late at night. The orange line is a couple miles from here.
